Calvin has been working as a licensed manual therapist since 1998. He specializes in using a globalized viewpoint in assessment in treatment, meaning he treats the PERSON with the problem, not the problem with the person. By taking into consideration the client’s lifestyle, work, movement patterns and pain, he is able to identify and treat the source, instead of focusing on the symptoms.
His philosophy on manual body work is to utilize all the training he has obtained throughout his more than 20-years of practice to identify the root cause of a client’s problem. By doing so, he can create a more focused and personalized program, with faster results, and have far greater success in reducing and eventually eliminating pain.

I am 66 years old, and I have pushed my body really hard my whole life. From doing marathon running, century bicycle rides and firefighting (certified in 1992). My last big bicycle ride was 400 miles in 5 days to raise money for HIV. We rode from Montreal, Canada to Portland, Maine. I was just turning 50 and my body started failing in many ways after that ride. MRI's showed Degenerative Disc Disease, Osteoarthritis, Herniated Discs and OsteoPenia in my spine. I had to stop running and bike riding, but I continued going to the gym, hiring one personal trainer after another to try to get me back in shape and out of pain. The pain has magnified over the last 15 years. But I figured, I am tough and I can "fix this." In 2018 when the pain got even worse, I started with a chiropractor and massage therapist. It helped some, but nothing really changed, and the next day I was in unmanageable pain again. I tried not to take pain meds, but at times I had to. Chronic pain does awful things to your body, but I had no idea what horrors awaited me in my own mind. Not being able to do what I used to or to be able to do pretty much anything, I shrunk away from doing so many things knowing full well the pain that would come later. I never gave up, but I certainly was totally kicked down. I started sleeping more and eating more and drinking more... Then a friend recommended Diversified Therapeutics. I checked them out, but due to the expense, I almost did not try it. I thought, what if they are just more of the same type of trainer? But maybe, just maybe, it will be different. So I did...and WOW! What a difference! The custom work plus incredible knowledge of the body makes this type of work truly amazing! I cannot even explain after just one month how much life I have back! They initially do an assessment which tells them about your body, what you can and cannot do and what to work on. The way they approach training is totally different. I have only been going for about 2 months, but the difference I feel is amazing. I am not in pain all the time anymore. I used to wake up in pain every single day. I cannot tell you how this pain controls your life. When you start out each day like this, you have to fight all day long just to get through the day. I also used to have at least one day a week where I could not function at all. Now, if that intense pain comes back, I deal with it with the tools they have given me instead of passively living with the pain. It works like nothing else has!! And a note about the expense...I can tell you from experience that paying for doctors, chiropractors, massage therapy, pain pills and lost days from work is FAR more expensive than Diversified Therapeutics!! I cannot say enough fantastic things about Jackie, Donna and Calvin. I have my life back. And I am eternally grateful.
